    1.50pm - Customers are reporting intermittent inbound call failures. To aid with investigations, please provide examples of any failures to support@jola.co.uk (or reply to an existing case) with the phone number effected.

    11:10am - the cause has been identified and a fix implemented. Testing is proving successful. Customer are asked to conduct testing and any issues please contact support@jola.co.uk / 01158225000 option 1.

    Currently experiencing an issue with one of our inbound carriers. Engineers have engaged with the carrier and assisting them with an issue that resolved from a maintenance window at their end last night. We expect updates every 30 minutes.

    Note: this issue is not impacting all inbound calls, only numbers hosted on that carrier.

    Our apologies for the delay in announcing this incident and for the impact caused to customers.

Issue with inbound carrier

Inbound Call Issues

We have seen normal traffic levels from this carrier now today, and consider this issues now to be resolved.

We have yet to receive a full RFO from the carrier, but customers who have requested one will receive it once made available.

    The carrier has implemented a number of changes overnight, and we are seeing normal traffic levels from them overnight and this morning.

    The carrier has identified the cause of the issue, and is attempting to rectify it, however at this time no ETA has been provided. We are seeing some calls successfully connect, however we are aware other calls are not.

    This issue is not impacting all customers, only specific ported numbers and ranges.

DNS Issue

    We have found that one of our inbound carriers was unable to resolve some of our core, as such, some inbound calls were failing. We have resolved this issue with them, and this should no longer be impacting customers.

    If you have reports of inbound calls failing after 9:30, please raise a ticket to support.

    We're seeing normal levels of traffic from customers again. We are however monitoring all traffic and 3rd parties to look for any on-going issues.

    An issue with our DNS provider means some external sources are failing to resolve the zapappi domains. We are actively working with the 3rd party to resolve this issue.

SIP Outbound Calling Issues

All services are now working as expected. Engineers found that an automated update to our call routing platform caused an issue routing outbound calls.

Call traffic was restored at 15:24.

The updated has now been reverted and we're investigating how this happened.

Slow call setup

An issue was identified with erroneous traffic resulting in traffic escalation within our network. We have identified the root cause, and fixed it, we will also be conducting additional work to resolve this issue permanently within the next 24 hours. This will have no impact on active traffic. Additionally we will be proactively checking for this until this fix is in place.

Outbound call progress time

An issue was found with our REDIS cluster used to maintain the state of call information. Engineers have resolved the issue, and are examining how the issue occurred, and how we can proactively monitor for this in the future. We apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Intermittent Outbound Call Failure

    Microsoft have confirmed there's an issue with PSTN calling inbound and outbound of the MS Teams platform in multiple geographic regions, and products (not just Direct Routing). We will continue to update this incident as and when we learn more.

    There is not ETA on resolution of this issue from Microsoft at this time.

    We're aware that one of our upstream carriers has been having issue this morning terminating some outbound call traffic. As a result we're in the process of removing the carrier from customer routes.

We will leave the impacted carrier out of our routing for the time being until their transit issues are resolved.

    We're aware of an issue with one of our carriers that is causing calls to return BUSY HERE. This is being investigated with the carrier, and traffic has been routed away of that carrier in the mean time.

    This incident is not impacting all outbound call traffic.
